HOW TO SELECT THE RIGHT TEARDROP BANNER

When it comes time to choose a teardrop portable banner for your business, school or club, there are many different brands, websites, price range and quality available. It can make what should be an easy decision quite difficult.

Here are a few simple tips to help you get the best teardrop banner for your money.

The Base

As with everything, there is always good and bad. When it comes to the base for your banner, remember it is going to be used for a long time, and it has an important role – supporting your teardrop banner. Always go for good quality, heavy duty base. The most common style is the ground spike. It can be used in sand, soil and grass. Remember there can be a lot of pressure on a teardrop banner when it is blowing in the wind, which can cause cheap and flimsy spikes to bend. Alternately look for a water base, that can be filled with water to give extra stability especially on hard surfaces, or, if you are hanging the banner outside your shop or business, a wall mount could be another option.

Reinforced Poles

A common issue with teardrop banners is poles breaking. It is important that your poles have been or are reinforced especially at the bottom of the pole as this area will bear all the pressure from the flag blowing in the wind. When the banner is set up the pole is bent at an arc at the top to create the (tear drop) shape which creates a lot of pressure on the pole and if the pole breaks it can tear a hole in your banner. Make sure your pole has been designed to withstand this pressure.

Buy From a Reputable Business With Great Customer Feedback

Check the business has an actual address in Australia and look at the customer feedback/testimonials on their site. Feedback is a great way of judging and deciding for yourself before making a purchase.

Size Matters

Always check the actual size of the banner to ensure you are comparing sizes accurately. Is the size advertised from the bottom of the pole to the top of the pole or from where the banner itself begins and ends? Reputable businesses will offer to size in both the visual area and the size of the graphic. We hope this helps make your decision a little easier when making your selection.
